31 Troon-Affiliated Resorts and Golf Courses Recognized
31 Troon-affiliated resorts and golf courses around the globe were recently recognized as “the world’s best” by GOLF Magazine and the World Golf Awards, with Costa Navarino in Messinia, Greece, named the “World’s Best Golf Venue.” The “Top 100 Golf Resorts in the World” honors were published in the September issue of GOLF Magazine and the “World’s Best” awards were announced at the 2023 World Golf Awards held in Abu Dhabi in October.
“Troon would like to congratulate our stakeholders and associates on these achievements,” said Troon Chief Operating Officer Bruce Glasco. “Accolades like these demonstrate the hard work, investment, and commitment that goes into every golfer’s experience.”
In GOLF Magazine’s ranking, nine Troon-affiliated courses are on the prestigious list, including:

Best in Mexico, The Americas and Caribbean
- Bahia Principe Akumal (PGA Riviera Maya) in Riviera Maya, Mexico

Meanwhile, 25 Troon-affiliated courses were named ‘World’s Best’ at the recent World Golf Awards. The World Golf Awards celebrate world-class golf courses and golf destinations, recognizing excellence within golf tourism and are voted for by professionals working within the golf travel and tourism industries as well as golf tourism consumers. Finca Cortesin, host of the 2023 Solheim Cup, was named the No.1 Hotel in Spain and Portugal in the 2023 Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.
