aesthetics + function

When Nate Checketts co-founded Rhone, a Connecticut-based premium performance apparel company a decade ago, golf was not on his radar. It is now. “What we have found over the past decade is that performance has made its way into every aspect of our lifestyle, and golf has become even more performative,” he said. “The way you move, the way you swing, the fabrics, and the way technology adjusts to temperature are all factors we considered.” Then there was the feedback customers were providing on Rhone’s existing performance wear. “People wearing our brand kept saying it was the best apparel for golf,” recalled Checketts, Rhone’s CEO. “But we weren’t making golf products. Then we started getting picked up by golf shops.” So Rhone launched a men’s golf collection last year. This year they are tapping into the rapidly growing women’s golf market with a new collection, and the company has been named the official on-course apparel partner of the LPGA Tour and Epson Tour. “We’re very excited about it,” said Checketts. “The future in golf is very bright for us.” www.Rhone.com
